What
is the Sacred Heart Benedictine Foundation?
The Sacred Heart Benedictine Foundation is a charitable, tax-exempt
corporation formed for the sole purpose of supporting and enhancing
the mission of the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery,
Richardton, North Dakota. The Foundation receives, holds, invests
and dispenses the assets for charitable activities of Sisters at
the Monastery, in sponsored works at the Benedictine Spirituality
Center and Subiaco Manor, Dickinson, ND. In addition, the Foundation
supports spiritual services at St. Vincent’s Care Center and
Marillac Manor, Bismarck, ND, and supports local causes within the
Richardton area.
How do I join?
You become a member by simply giving a gift to the Foundation. Every
gift is appreciated by the Benedictine Sisters regardless of the
amount.
What do I receive by joining the Foundation?
You become a partner in the Sisters’ mission.
The Sisters pray for you daily.
The Sisters honor prayer requests for your family regardless of your
level of giving.
Your name will be listed on the donor wall at the appropriate level
for all gifts.
Bell Tower members and above receive thank you gifts.
Mass is offered for donors twice a month in our Monastery chapel.
You are remembered especially on your birthday.
You gift is tax deductible.
Who staffs the Foundation?
We are a small office located within the Sacred Heart Monastery.
We operate on the principle of stewardship of resources. Therefore,
your gift is handled as a “vessel of the altar” as St.
Benedict teaches in his Rule.
